I think we can all agree that bleached denim jeans look terrible on everyone wearing them. Not so when it comes to Dana Lee – indigo denim fades to bleached white in her spring/summer 2010 signature. Lee takes inspiration from traditional work wear, but adds a contemporary spirit to her pieces – the result is a versatile and wearable collection of separates.
Lee explores more than denim with the inclusion of outerwear options outside of the cropped jean jacket. Keeping it long and loose, Lee ties every piece into the work wear aesthetic and given the evolutionary track of fashion, each piece could be worn by men and women (even though Dana Lee is marketed as menswear). Everything in her collection is practical, but it is by no means another Carhartt or Mark’s Work Wearhouse – there is an obvious sex appeal in Lee that you don’t get from a pair of steel-toed boots.
