A clean and very trim beard is something I rarely sport, but it just goes to show you that beards come in many shapes and sizes. The gentleman photographed above has left the interest at the torso, wearing slim denim and a near-bowling shoe below the belt. A tailored plaid shirt rests under a velvet jacket with matching dotted pocket square – I may have mixed patterns for something a bit more colourful, but a solid with a pattern is an easy go to pairing that wins every time.
Then there is this gentleman, whose understated traditionalism brings focus to his features, including – you guessed it – his manicured facial fuzz. Without the socks, this look would read as London hipster, but the above the ankle black sock brings the look to school marm. It is the simplest accents that can often make the biggest impact.
