Woolich Woolen Mills F/W 2010-11

You’ve heard of Woolrich, right? Frankly, if you haven’t, you don’t know what you have been missing. As a company, it is rich in heritage, but the designer Daiki Suzuki has managed to update the brand, turning it into a fashion favourite season after season. For Fall/Winter, Suzuki used a palette of greens and blues, showcasing the wool in a variety of shapes, from tailored suiting to a flow-y cape. The important aspect to note is the combination of wools, including wool denim, serge wool, wool knits (see above) and melton. Adding to the brand’s rustic image are layers of corduroy and flannel to complete each distinct Woolrich look. It is most definitely one of my favourite brands, not only for its history but its ability to re-evaluate wool in a variety of fashion forward ways.

  1. I can honestly say I have known about them for a long time and I love the line. Perfect for winter.

Love a lot of that stuff, but I don’t care HOW MANY TIMES it is mentioned, I am NOT wearing a cape!
